Animas River Gorge Colorado

This picture was taken somewhere between Durango and Silverton Colorado.  We had taken the Durango-Silverton Narrow Gauge Railway. 
It is a steam engine train and there are several stops along the rail where they have to stop and cool the engine off and let the steam out.  This train has been in continuous operation for 128 years and the views from it are gorgeous!  This picture is one of those views.  You are so close to the edge sometimes that it feels like if you lean out too far, you could fall out and down, down, down.  The train ride is through San Juan National Forest and end up in the old silver mining town of Silverton.
