Summer is coming to an end around these parts. My son will be starting back at school on Monday, which means I can get back to what I do. I had great plans this summer of blogging and writing, but my plans didn't work out so well. Are your summers crazy??? Or is it just mine?? I always run out of time way too soon. As summer comes to a close, our days of doing this....

Or this...
Are being replaced by hopefully, if this horrid drought hasn't killed our fall, this...
We've had a busy, busy summer and I've enjoyed it. I had a whole bunch of these little guys running around.
Cute little things, but somewhat time consuming. This summer was sooo hot that we actually didn't get a chance to go out and do as much as maybe we normally would. I'm not a hot weather kind of gal, so when it's in the upper 90's and early 100's, I hide out inside with my air conditioning. Call me a wimp, but there it is. So for me, the end of summer is not a cause for sadness or anything because it goes into my absolute favorite season which is fall. Yep I am a sweatshirt and jeans kind of girl and I absolutely adore the fall colors. I plan to have a new Fall Photo Scavenger Hunt, which I will be unveiling at the end of August, beginning of September. I had so much fun with the last one, you can read about it here, that I wanted to try another one. I would love for all those who enjoy photography or just a new challenge to join with me. I'm excited and hope to challenge myself as well.
I am planning on getting back to writing about my travels this year. My California trip was great and we got to see so many fabulous places that I want to tell you about. My husband and I also took a quick trip up the coast of Lake Michigan and I want to visit some more state parks this fall throughout the region. Thanks for hanging in there with me during my break and I hope that you will be back with me this fall.
Here's goodbye to a great summer and hello to what I hope will be an awesome fall!!
